The surf city of Durban in South Africa was crippled by a series of xenophobic attacks on foreigners during April 2015 in a wave of violence that swept across South Africa. International surfer Sebastian Williams (14) took refuge from the city troubles in the relative safety of the surf at the famous New Pier break.

Two sessions with Tane Bowden around home surfing Winkipop on the Surf Coast of Victoria during the Ripcurl Pro Bells Beach. Like any Kiwi grom , Tane is addicted to Gangster music so I couldn’t say no when he wanted to choose the song.
On Day 2 of the Oakley Lowers Pro, Round 1 of 96 surfers hit the water in perfectly groomed surf. Filipe Toledo kicked-off the first heat with high scores and lofty air reverses. The trend continued throughout the morning, with local boy Brett Simpson (USA) boosting a huge backside air in Heat 2 and Charles Martin combo-ing the field in the first ten minutes of Heat 3.
