The PocketRocket is the current culmination of our work with many WSL competitive surfers and primarily by Kolohe Andino. After a stellar start on the 2015 WQS (with a win at the Australia Open) Kolohe had lost momentum by mid-season. He was ready to try some different curves under foot. We studied videos and listened how he wanted to adjust his approach and asked what we could change in his board to help that. I offered up examples of some alternative curves we were supplying other WT surfers with success. One in particular, code-name “WLG”, had many good team rider reviews throughout the year.
