The Volcom Pipe Pro has wrapped, and the year’s best WQS event did not disappoint. Kelly Slater took home the trophy, as many might’ve predicted, but along the way the North Shore was graced with some of the best swell a contest there has seen in years.
Of the countless angles provided over the course of the week, none compare to the bird’s-eye-view perspective of it all. The intricacies of the reef, the wave-to-surfer scale, and the overall majesty of it all really bleed through in this footage, providing a look at a contest, from start to finish, like never before.
