Santa Cruz’s Golden Boy lost his sheen after just 25 minutes in the water Tuesday at the O’Neill Cold Water Classic surf contest at Steamer Lane.
Nothing went right for Nat Young, the defending champion and the pride of the Westside, as he lost in the Round of 96 — the first heat he surfed in the contest after receiving a seed in the event.
