The final day of the Fantastic Noodles Kangaroo Island Pro saw some intense surfing from those promising young surfers on the world circuit. The ocean swelled once again and gave spectators and surfers a great day of fun, sand, a little sun and some great South Australian waves.
In the end it came down to NZ Jay Quinn and American Kolohe Andino and neither surfer disappointed the expectant crowd. There was some amazing surfing with both of them carving it up and getting some impressive air-time. It was close but Kolohe Andino came out with the win and a cheque for 30K that was bumped up thanks to event sponsors like Fantastic Noodles.
The 2011 British Surf Championships was held over two days last weekend in classic and building surf. By the end of Day one, the Open, Masters, Women’s and Junior titles had been decided in pumping conditions at Fistral Beach.
