As more team rosters are confirmed for the upcoming ISA China Cup, there will be a mix of established stars with up-and-coming talents who will put their surfing on display on the aquamarine left-hand waves at Riyue Bay. The ISA China Cup is the first event of the Hainan Wanning Riyue Bay International Surfing Festival Presented by Quiksilver, which will begin January 7 and run through January 10.

Coolangatta — Christmas came early for young grommet Pacha Light when she shared a few waves with her hero at the Surfing Australia Laura Enever Pro Surfer Camp at Casuarina. Earlier this year 10-year-old Pacha from Woombah in northern NSW was busking at the Quiksilver and Roxy Pros on the Gold Coast to earn enough money to buy a surfboard.

Singapore: The inaugural Asian Surfing Championships Awards were held on Saturday evening December 17th at the Wave House on Sentosa Island in Singapore to honor the Asian region’s first professional surfing champions, Singapore’s surfing champions, and to celebrate the media partnership of the ASC with the Outdoor Channel for 2012.
