NORTH SHORE, Oahu — (Jan. 31, 2012) — The third day of competition for the 2012 Volcom Pipe Pro started this morning in absolutely perfect 10-12 foot Pipeline. We awoke to pumping surf that cranked all day long from the same WNW swell that washed out Pipeline yesterday.
Today’s standouts included three perfect 10-point rides (with a $1,000 cash bonus from Electric’s “Perfect 10 Award”) given to Balaram Stack (New York), Dusty Payne (Hawaii) and Dylan Graves (Puerto Rico).
2012 US TITLES Open Final – Kneeboard Surfing Championships where contested in small surf at the Pier in Huntington Beach Calif. USA – This Video is the full 30 minute heat and features riders, Tom Backer, Chris Beresford, Pat Evans, and Ed Quinn Although the conditions were less than ideal, these guys did go through several rounds over 2 days in much better surf.
 The artificial wave surfing era is coming. Progress is being made almost every month and the wave rides are getting almost perfect. In the next years, there will be a button for classic overhead barreling right-handers and another one for a beginner’s three-foot wave lesson.
