The Pacific Northwest crew had been watching this storm develop under Japan for about 10 days and it was really geared up to send some monster surf their way. Veteran big-wave riders and 2011 Billabong XXL Nominee Eric Akiskalian and his tow partner keith Galbraith were thinking this was going to be the swell where they could once again ride waves in the 60′-65′ range but as it turned out, it was a lot lot smaller.
