With a solid swell sweeping it’s way up Chile’s coastline the Quiksilver Ceremonial Chile trials were held in 12 foot Punta de Lobos. The left hand point break hosted a field of 24 surfers all battling it out for a ticket to the main event. After some crazy wipeouts and epic rides the top 4 surfers will have a chance to surf in the first stop of the 2013/14 Big Wave World Tour.

In 1968 Lawrence Wright and his brother Tony made two surfboards at their home in Kent – 45 years later Lawrence was reunited with his board at the new Sixties SURFER! exhibition now showing at the Museum of British Surfing.

It’s the last days of pro surfer Alana Blanchard’s stay on Hawaii’s North Shore and the eve of one of the most glamorous nights in surfing—the annual Surfer Poll Awards. Alana, Camille Brady, Leila Hurst and friends get fully primped up for the event. Before hitting the red carpet, Alana receives a social media award for her popular Instagram profile (@AlanarBlanchard) from TransWorld Surf editor Chris Cote, then it’s off to surfing’s version of the Academy Awards where Alana earns 2nd Place in the women’s rankings at Surfer Poll!
