Kai Woolf, the 11 year-old ‘supergrom’ from Jeffreys Bay, was the standout performer on Day 2 of the Hurley SA Junior Champs as the country’s best 17-and-under girls took centre stage at SA’s premier junior surfing event.
Woolf, who won the SA U13 Girls title in Durban as a 9 year-old in 2011, revelled in the clean one metre offshore waves of her home break today and, surfing with a maturity that belies her age, posted a pair of counting scores in the excellent category totalling an outstanding 17.0 out of 20.

Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) 22, has won the Roxy Pro France today in Seignosse Le Penon narrowly defeating fellow Australian Tyler Wright (AUS) 19, in clean 3-4Ft surf.
Penultimate event on the 2013 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour, the Roxy Pro France marks Fitzgibbons’s first event win this season. An absolute standout today, Fitzgibbons was the first surfer to net a perfect 10 in France, and holds three of the highest wave scores of the event.
