Surfing America, the National Governing Body for the sport of surfing in the USA, is pleased to announce the final travel squad for the USA Junior Surf Team to compete at the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Junior Surfing Championships in Salinas Ecuador, April 3 – 14, 2014.
The travel squad of 12 was selected from the team of 21 named after the Surfing America USA Championships at Lower Trestles last June. The team consists of 4 Boys Under 18, 4 Boys Under 16, 2 Girls Under 18 and 2 Girls Under 16. It was a difficult decision by coaches Ryan Simmons and Micah Byrne who held several training sessions since June, including intensive camps at Steamer Lane Santa Cruz in January and San Clemente in February … More
