A few days ago Mason Ho and Sheldon Paishon surf a fun size slab in Hawaii. A wave is called a slab once the lip is oddly thick and has a special look. We love it when the lip is extra thick. Doesn’t matter how big the wave is long as the lip is thickkkkkk! Happy Aloha Friday!
On 29th October, Belharra was unveiled off the Basque Corniche. Thanks to “Epsilon”, a former category 3 hurricane with a particularly deep low-pressure system, this outside reef shaped some of the biggest wave of the winter (for now).
We followed the French surfers Rémi Arauzo and Léo Havion in the hours preceding this memorable session, before boarding a boat to witness the premature awakening of this exceptional wave located three kilometres from the coast.
Sebastian Steudtner has ridden some of the largest waves of the decade during the so-called “Swell of the Century” in Praia do Norte, Nazaré, Portugal.
Steudtner is a professional big wave surfer with German and Austrian nationality benefiting from more than 19 years of professional surfing.
He is by far one of the most experienced Nazaré surfers and an absolute expert on the surf spot at Praia do Norte.
On October 29, 2020, Sebastian Steudtner surfed one of the biggest, fastest, and most challenging waves in history. He was towed into this massive wall of water by his partner, Maya Gabeira.
