With the 2021 World Surf League contest in Santa Cruz postponed, locals were pretty fired up about getting to watch the National Scholastic Surfing Association’s first California competition since the novel coronavirus arrived on these shores.
We present this beachy broadcast of the Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 “NSSA Northwest Open Season #1,” which captures just how insanely the groms can rip! The waves seemed like they might disappoint, but in the end they turned out rather punchy.
