Paige Duke, one of three Sprint Cup models whose job it is to meet and greet fans during NASCAR events, has been fired from Sprint after nude photos of her popped up on the Internet.
Duke, a Clemson University graduate, took the photos for her then-boyfriend six years ago.

There was an extra special holiday event this weekend at the Kings Shops in Waikoloa. The Eddie Aikau Restaurant & Surf Museum opened its doors to a huge crowd on Sunday evening. The new attraction is named after the legendary big wave surfer and Hawaiian lifeguard. He was lost at sea in 1978, paddling out to find help as a crew member aboard the capsized Hokule’a voyaging canoe.

Deadly attacks are rare, but watch out for fins on these shorelines.
By the time a lifeguard got to him, it was too late. Stephen Schafer was kitesurfing 500 yards off an unguarded part of Stuart Beach, in Martin County, Fla., last February when he was attacked by a swarm of sharks. “He got bit after he presumably wiped out, a very serious bite,†says George Burgess, director of theInternational Shark Attack File at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Schafer was rushed to a local hospital, where he died of his wounds.

Humanitarian organisation SurfAid International was a lead agency in the emergency response to the Mentawai Islands tsunami that struck eight months ago on Monday 25 October, and SurfAid continues to play a leading role in the recovery program. More than 500 people died in the disaster and 15,000 were displaced from their homes.
