Michal Kosik sacrificed everything to mountain biking. He used to spend almost every day in the saddle of his bike. But after a serious accident five years ago he was sentenced to remain seated for the rest of his life. His spinal cord will probably never heal.
Michal is an athlete. And the true athletes never give up. He decided to build his own off-road quad and get back on the wheels. Then, thanks to the support by SKODA, he teamed up with famous freerider Richard Gasperotti. Together they travelled to the French province of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to ride the steep slopes once again.
Michal’s quad is quite remarkable and it can give hope to many other handicapped men and women all around the world. A hope they will get back on wheels, too!

California is the most populated state in the United States, and the third largest. It’s almost double the size of the United Kingdom and slightly larger than Japan. If it was it’s own independent country (as it was briefly for a few weeks in 1846), it would have the 8th largest economy in the world by GDP. It contains the highest summit and the lowest desert in the Continental United States (and the second-lowest point in the world), both of which are in the same county. It’s most known for movies, technology, wine, and national parks, but also grows more than a third of the vegetables consumed in the US, two-thirds of the fruits and nuts, and an unknown but presumably huge percentage of marijuana. It contains every major climatological biome except tundra. More important than those facts, to me, is that I was born and spent most of my life here.
My goal was to cram all of the visually stunning things about the entire state, from coastline to mountains to deserts, from cities to wilderness and national parks, into four minutes.

Coastguards have issued a warning over Britain’s deadly new craze which sees youngsters leaping face-down into the sea from walls and cliffs – called BELLY-STONING. Thrill-seekers have been caught on video hurling themselves into the water in a combination of tombstoning, belly-flopping and planking. This video shows a young man belly-flopping 65ft off a harbour wall in Plymouth, Devon – at the same spot where one victim has already been paralysed in a similar stunt. The footage shows the daredevil soaring chest-first through the air before hitting the water face down just a few feet from rocks.
