{"id":72176,"date":"2012-11-16T14:23:42","date_gmt":"2012-11-16T21:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stokednews.com\/?p=72176"},"modified":"2012-11-16T14:23:53","modified_gmt":"2012-11-16T21:23:53","slug":"f1-doesn%e2%80%99t-stand-a-chance-against-nascar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.stokednews.com\/?p=72176","title":{"rendered":"F1 doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stand a chance against NASCAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Formula One makes its return to racing in the U.S. this weekend, but whether anyone will notice is another thing altogether.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s because the powers that be in the sport made the silly decision to schedule F1\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first race in the U.S. in five years on the same day as the NASCAR Sprint Cup title gets decided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sadly, F1 only has itself to blame.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A quick scan of the NASCAR calendar since 1999 would have told F1\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s schedule makers that racing in the third Sunday in November was a bad idea.
