George is a noted surf historian, screenwriter, and spent a decade as the editor of SURFER magazine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A former professional skateboarder, Stacy Peralta&#8217;s lingering love of skating manifested itself in the film, Dogtown and Z-Boys, a documentary film on the legendary skateboard team known as the Z-Boys, and Riding Giants, a 2004 documentary of the history of modern big wave riding.
