The six medals earned the Americans the victory in the Cruiser medal count ahead of Australia and the Netherlands.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
Eight-time world champ Eric Rupe (Woodland Hills, Calif.\/Mongoose) earned the only world title of the day for the U.S., just ahead of country man Donald Beals (Port Richey, Fla.) who snagged the silver in the 45 and over men\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cruiser class.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

After winning her Challenge Class on Friday Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill.) was denied the double world title in the cruiser class as French-woman Ingreed Mercredi surged at the line to steal the win. Stancil however still added another medal to her trophy chest with the silver in the 15-16 women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s division.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
Maliek Byndloss (Cape Coral, Fla.\/One Bicycles) sprinted to the bronze in the 15-16 men\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s race and 18-year-old Devan Searle (Laguna Hills, Calif.) earned the silver in the 17-24 women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s division to round out the day\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s American medals.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sunday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Cruiser Class races were contested on BMX bikes with slightly larger wheels than the traditional Cruiser and Championship sizes.
