It is a really strange phenomenon that when you are rowing, you long for it to stop \u00e2\u20ac\u201c for the pain, discomfort and sheer monotony of it to go away. Then, when you do get even a few hours respite, all you actually want to do is get back on the oars and pull back a few more miles towards the finish line.
