Thomas Campbell’s new film The Present kicks off this Friday, March 6 (7 & 9pm), at La Paloma and shows again Saturday, March 7. You may know Campbell’s previous films Sprout and the Seedling. Stop by Patagonia Surf Shop to buy pre-sale tickets for the Paloma shows.<\/p>\n
Surfers in the film like Dan Malloy, Keith Malloy, Rob Machado, Devon Howard, Kassia Meador and Chris del Moro are going to be there for the first night’s show.<\/p>\n

Campbell’s new film is a colorful and artistic exploration of the beautiful environment surfers play in every day. This film showcases more tri fin shredding than his previous films, with a great Dane Reynolds part, but you can still expect there to be a good smattering of different kinds of equipment ridden by some of the best guys in the world. Of note, will be some mind-warping footage of alaia surfing in Indo and the North Shore by Rasta, Del Moro and Dan Malloy.<\/p>\n
Encinitas jazz duo Mattson 2, who played on the soundtrack, will perform live with special guest Ray Barbee at both the Paloma and La Jolla shows.<\/p>\n
