{"id":14957,"date":"2009-06-18T17:48:06","date_gmt":"2009-06-19T00:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stokednews.com\/?p=14957"},"modified":"2009-06-18T17:52:31","modified_gmt":"2009-06-19T00:52:31","slug":"automobile-f1-f1-teams-form-breakaway-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.stokednews.com\/?p=14957","title":{"rendered":"Automobile F1 &#8211; F1 teams form breakaway series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Formula One\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s biggest teams began preparations for a breakaway series early Friday after failing to resolve their dispute with motor sport\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s governing body over financial constraints.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Formula One Teams\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Association announced it would not compromise on the quality of the series by signing up unconditionally for the 2010 F1 season under the FIA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s radical new plans for cost-cutting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">FOTA also criticized the FIA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153uncompromising\u00e2\u20ac\u009d stance and attempts, along with the commercial rights holder, to divide its member teams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">FIA president Max Mosley was insistent on introducing a voluntary $60 million budget cap for teams to curtail a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153financial arms race\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in F1.
