A freak crash broke his bike 4 kilometers from the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky for him, he was able to complete the homestretch after a Good Samaritan saw his plight and lent him his old-school, 1980\u2019s-era mountain bike, allowing the cyclist to finish the race in a hilarious fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Zack Allison, a 26-year-old pro cyclist, was racing in the first stage of the Tour of the Gila. The 540-kilometer, 5-day race subjects cyclists to brutal heat and daunting inclines.
