The event combined the speed and turns of a traditional banked slalom with the trickery and skills of a slopestyle and pipe event. A rider\u2019s ultimate goal was to get down the course as fast as they can while being judged on three freestyle features (40ft jump, rail section, and a mandatory 2 hit pipe run). The Whistler course was steep with deep smooth bowl turns that had the 80+ competitors more managing their speed than milking for speed.
