With no mentors to help me through the mental blocks that stand strong with trick like this, I finally found some friends to talk me through it last year. After crashing a lot, I spent the summer visualizing landing them. Since then conditions have changed a bit. Snow stability is getting better, though deep instability does still exist. Though I am excited to start going higher and skiing steeper terrain, it&#8217;s days like this one that remind me of what skiing is really about. Getting outside and spending time with friends is always a good time. Especially during the holidays. I enjoy this hike early in the morning with the sunrise before work, before an epic powder day at the resort, or really any other point in the day.
