And while the big swells may be months away, now is the time to get ready for the wave of your life \u2014 and the wipeouts and hold-downs that coincide with big surf.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, we hit up professional surfer and North Shore of Oahu lifeguard Dave Wassel for some tips on how to hold your breath longer.
