Mammut opens up new windows to the mountains of the world. #project360 opens the third dimension of digital alpine cartography and makes it possible for users to experience the legend of the most famous mountains up close on the screen. Viewers can use computers or smartphones to follow the alpinists on the world\u2019s mountains, selecting their viewing angles independently. By the end of the year about 30 tours will be online.<\/p>\n
With #project360, Mammut, the Swiss mountain sports specialist, is opening vistas to the mountains of this world virtually and visually – from the perspective of the mountaineer and directly from the mountain faces. A specially developed backpack with six cameras for a complete all-round view provided the pictures for this project. Since the beginning of 2014, professional mountaineers and Mammut employees have carried these camera backpacks to more than 30 mountains all over the world. Of these, five tours will be online from 29 July 2015: Eiger North Face (CH), Matterhorn H\u00f6rnli Ridge (CH), El Capitan (USA), Mount Elbrus (RUS) and the frozen waterfall R\u00fcbezahl (CH).
