While it’s safe to say those words have never before been strung together in the history of, well, human language, what’s more remarkable is how Earnhardt’s legacy is being turned into a carnival show.
Tweeting under the user name daleday09, someone at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. typed (below a picture of Earnhardt clad in sunglasses), “Just reviewed plans for the April 29 birthday celebration – the cake is looking great!â€
Really? So what you’re telling us about the upcoming event is that you’ve already started baking a cake for a birthday party that won’t take place for another two weeks?

The 2009 Raceboard and IMCO European Championships will take place from 4th to 7th June as part of the Liepaja Windsurfing Festival.
This will be the first time the classes have held a major championsjhip in Latvia, but the sanctioning of this regatta by IWA is testimony to the drive and enthusiasm for the sport that exists in the both Latvia and this region of the Baltic.

Pumping surf in the six-foot (2 metre) range and dramatic performances marked today’s action as the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Snickers steamrolled through the first 12 heats of Round 2.
The second stop on the 2009 ASP World Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach saw excellent surf on offer throughout the day as the world’s best surfers narrowed the competitive field down to the final 20.
Owen Wright (AUS), 19, Rip Curl Pro wildcard, caused the upset of the event, eliminating reigning nine-time ASP World Champion and defending Rip Curl Pro winner Kelly Slater (USA), 37, during Round 2 of competition. The festival is for kites & wind sports being co-coordinated by the local wind sports club Wind & Wheels in conjunction with North Somerset Council.
Given enough support this event could grow year on year. In the future we may be able to attract more support from local and national business. We have been given the opportunity to use the whole beach from the Pier to Uphill for a weekend during the Easter holidays. We believe there should be some spectacular views of this event from the new 40m big wheel on the beach lawns near the Tourist information centre.
