A wildfire that has consumed 10,000 acres since March 10 continued to burn today in the thick wilderness north of the popular recreation ares near Juniper Springs but firefighters have hemmed in the blaze.
For a third consecutive day, the fire stayed within its containment lines, said Carrie Christman, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Forest Service, which manages the 383,000-acre national forest in Lake, Marion and Putnam counties.

An official of the Porsche Club of Americaâ€™s Alabama region is urging its members to drive their Porsches to Columbiana on Saturday to watch the filming of a commercial which a Birmingham advertising company hopes Porsche will purchase and use to advertise its cars.
â€œThis is very spur of the moment,â€ said Brynley King, vice president of the Alabama region of the Porsche Club of America. As vice president, King helps organize events, like car shows, dinners and wine and cheese tastings, for Alabamaâ€™s 350 members of the club.
