The 24th Windsurfing and Kiteboarding World Cup will be held at Fuerteventura, the Hawaii of Europe, and as well as white sand beaches, blue skies and summer temperatures, the island also has all the wind a windsurfer or kiteboarder could wish for.

From July 17 to August 1, spectators can witness the wind-powered acrobats fly distances of up to 70 metres, reaching heights of up to 15 metres at the Windsurfing and Kiteboarding World Championship off Fuerteventura.

The windsurfing programme includes slalom and freestyle disciplines, while the kiteboarders will compete in the freestyle discipline and there also will be a kiteloop competition…  Details

The Big 5 Kayak team is led by Richard Harpham is raising money for the Muscular Help Foundation and raising awareness for the River Access Campaign. There challenge is to expedition paddle in sea Kayak’s 1000 miles from Vancouver to Alaska in 30 days.

The Big 5 Team continued their journey from Port Hardy 9am Monday 15th June. The expedition has been action packed with many incidents along the way. Weather conditions have testing leaving the kayakers battling against strong winds, choppy conditions and poor visibility…  Details 

The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation’s BMX track in Franke Park is open! To kick off the season, there will be a fundraising race for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America on Saturday, July 11. The “Race for Life” is open to all competitors, whether or not they have an American Bicycle Association membership. This is the perfect time for newcomers to come out to the track and try BMX racing. Participants will be divided by age and skill level. Everyone who participates will receive an award or trophy.

Registration is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on July 11, with races starting shortly after. Competitors without BMX experience are encouraged to register early and practice on the track before race time. The fee for entering the competition is $10.
