The first Kona Nordic Championships will be hosted by the experienced Sola Brettseiler Forening, located at Sola beach, which is rated as one of the finest sandy beaches in Norway.
The Championships will be held from Friday 13th August to sunday 15th August 2010.
It is well known throughout the country, especially for its windsurfing, and it has been the venue of several National and International Championships in the past.
Hundreds of mountain bikers took to the slopes of Northstar-at-Tahoe this past weekend to compete on the third stop of the Professional Mountain Bike Gravity Tour (Pro GRT).
The four-day event began Thursday with practice and included four-cross and downhill racing on Saturday and Sunday. Both pros and amateurs competed, from locals to world-class riders from around the globe.Â
