At the beginning of the school year, Murrieta Valley, Vista Murrieta and Murrieta Mesa high schools all issued a ban listed under the “inappropriate clothing” section of the dress code policy in their schools. The Murrieta Valley Unified School District board policy reads that “students’ clothing must not present a health or safety hazard or a distraction which would interfere with the educational process.”
